WELCOME TO HYDE PARK

Situated just North of the vibrant city of Durban, Umhlanga Rocks is one of South Africa's best-loved holiday destinations, with one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Hyde Park resort is conveniently located near the main beach and each unit has an open veranda which provides the ideal entertainment and relaxation spot. Umhlanga offers a wealth of entertainment, shops, restaurants, golf courses, and nature trails; with the popular Gateway shopping centre, Sibaya Casino, and other Durban attractions just a short drive away.

Units 2, 6 and 10 are one-bedroom units with two single beds in the main bedroom and a sleeper couch in the lounge, sleeping four people in total.

Units 3, 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12 are two-bedroom units with one double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the other room, and a sleeper couch in the lounge, sleeping six people in total.

Units 5 and 9 are three-bedroom units with one double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds each in the other two bedrooms, and a sleeper couch in the lounge, sleeping eight people in total.

Units 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 have one bathroom consisting of a bath with a glass-enclosed shower facility over the bath, toilet and basin.

Units 5 and 9 have a glass-enclosed shower, toilet and basin in the en-suite bathroom, and a bath, basin and toilet in the second bathroom.

Units are partially serviced (no making of beds and no washing of dishes - not serviced on Sundays and Public Holidays).

Public phone coin/card operated nearby.
Burglar bars on the windows and the doors.
Wall safe and laptop safe per unit.
Undercover parking.
Wheelchair friendly units have wet rooms and the bathroom does get wet. Unit 1, 3 and 4 have wet rooms and not a standard bathroom.
Baby baths will be provided when required.
A TV with DSTV per unit. We have the hotel bouquet plus Sky News, Disney and Kyknet. All the sports channels and 6 movie channels are available.

It takes about 6 minutes to walk to the sea. There is a sea view at this resort.

Each unit has it’s own Weber gas braai on the stoep/balcony. The key to open the gas is available at the office at Hyde Park.

Sibaya Casino is about 5 km away.

Monkeys do visit the resort from time to time, and they can be dangerous, so please do not feed them and keep your doors and windows closed at all times.

Units are partially serviced at no cost (no making of beds and no washing of dishes - not serviced on Sundays or Public Holidays).

If a Full Service is required, please request this with the booking office / resort manager, a daily fee will be charged. No full service on Sundays / Public Holidays.

Cots provided for children under the age of 12 months at no additional cost.
